Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28.
We are a compassionate and loving congregation, small enough to care for you and large enough to reach out to the world. We believe Matthew 22:37 – 39: “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it:’ Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Our members are from many walks of life and come from various religious
backgrounds. Our ruling body (the "Session") consists of men and women,
young and old. We welcome children to our worship where they may sit
with their parents or go to the adjacent "whisper" room. We have a
strong music program with an excellent organist, guitarist, harpist, violinist, flautist and a choir. Our pastor for the last 20 years, Ed Umbach, is shown here with his wife Connie.
Physically, our church is located at the eastern edge of Lenoir City,
Tennessee, which in turn is about twenty miles southwest of Knoxville.
Our sanctuary was built in the 1950's and an addition,
including fellowship hall and classrooms, was completed in the 1980's.
The interior and exterior of the building have been updated and improved
several times since then.
If you are looking for a church family we invite you to visit.
