Our History

In the mid 1950's a group of individuals seeing the growth of the area decided that a Presbyterian Church, PC (USA) was needed. This group requested leadership from the Presbytery of East Tennessee and shortly thereafter a congregation was formed.

For a time the congregation met at Eaton Elementary School (now the National Guard Armory). They then acquired a desirable lot on Martel Road and the sanctuary was built.

In 1988 the church felt the need to grow further in service and built a large addition dedicated to the Rev. and Mrs. Buchanan, beloved leaders of the church. This new space contained offices, church school classrooms, a fellowship hall and a remodeled kitchen. In 1994 the sanctuary was also renovated.

Today the church stands ready to reach out to the many people who have found Loundon County a wonderful place to live and play.

We are open to all who wish to join us in worship and fellowship. We are a small church that offers a warm and friendly setting for worship and service to God.
